Exciting Return of Manfeild Honda Track Day
Earlier this year, Honda announced that they would bring the Honda track day back to Manfeild. This new got our team here at City Honda Manawatu excited, as the famous Honda Track Day has bypassed Manfeild in Feilding for a number of years.
Honda’s Product Manager, Darian Paul, along with Regional Sales Manager, Anthony Barry, teamed up to bring up Southland’s Jeremy Holmes to lead the day out on track. Holmes is a reigning national champion on two wheels and spent the day lending his wealth of knowledge and experience to riders across all classes.
A regular feature at the event and well-known NZ Motorcycling Icon, Tony Rees, was unable to attend the Manfeild Track Day, so it opened up a great opportunity for Holmes.
The day consisted of 4 classes that riders could choose, from ‘Novice’ all the way up to ‘Race’. Although the day saw battles out on the track, the overall feeling was one of enjoyment and appreciation for a chance to get out on the track.
The focus of the day for Honda was to put on a day that riders could come and enjoy, no matter what bike they rode. Honda plays a large and important role in New Zealand and global riding and racing, so it’s fantastic to the see company leading from the front. All Honda riders who attended the day also received a cash-back compensation on entry for being a part of the Honda community.
Along with Blue Wing Honda, Lower Hutt’s MotoMart brought along a team of experienced riders and technicans who displayed how well the all new CB1000R held up on track. A big thanks must go to the crew in behind the scenes from Honda New Zealand, Motomart, Manfeild and of course Play Day on Track for their awesome work!
